Switch an existing SMSF

Switch your SMSF to Reign

Switching SMSF administrators does not mean closing your fund, rolling over your super, or triggering any tax event. Your fund keeps its ABN, its bank account, its investments, and its history. You're changing who does the paperwork and lodges your compliance, not the fund itself.

How the process works

  1. Sign an appointment of new administrator/tax agent. A standard authority, the same kind of document you signed with your current administrator.
  2. We request your fund's records from your old administrator, including prior-year financials, the trust deed and any outstanding compliance items.
  3. Outstanding or overdue lodgments are identified and planned for early, not as a surprise later.
  4. Bank and investment feeds are re-pointed so your data starts flowing through correctly.

None of this requires you to do anything with your bank, your broker or your investments directly. For most straightforward funds, the appointment and record-transfer side takes days, not months.

What Reign takes over

  • Ongoing bookkeeping
  • Annual financial statements
  • The SMSF annual return
  • Liaising with your auditor
  • Chasing records, reconciling accounts and catching up any overdue work

What you'll need to do

  • Confirm your fund and member details are correct
  • Sign the appointment authority
  • Answer a few questions about your fund's current state
  • Respond if we have a follow-up question while pulling your records

Pricing

Administration is priced in Core, Standard and Complex tiers, quoted weekly and billed monthly, with no lock-in or exit fees. The annual audit is billed separately on completion. See full pricing for current amounts.
